St Catherine's Catholic Primary School

Year 6

1.7.22

Well done everyone who participated in Bikeability - great job!

9.6.22

Chenda and Ruth from St Andrews Church came to visit Year 6 to talk about transition into their new secondary school. There are lots of strange pictures here which need Year 6 to explain them to you! We had a great session thinking about and discussing all the things which will be happening and how they may be feeling in the next few months.

Poetry inspired by Maya Angelou

Year 6 have been enjoying Bikeability this week. They have been practicing skills on the playground before heading off onto the road. An excellent effort.

Have a look at some of the photos below...

Hello Y6,

Hope you are all well. I have just been talking to Mr Gilby (UCC) and Mr Buckland (QEGs), on a Zoom conference, about the Transition to Secondary School.

As you can imagine, lots of issues have to be ironed out, but in the meantime, both schools have dedicated space on their websites just for the Y6 pupils to find out more. Parents can contact UCC and QEGs directly for further information.

We will continue to work together with the other schools to find the safest solution for all.

Take Care

Mrs Hill

I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter Holiday although it feels a bit strange!

I've been working in Brunswick school all week with some children from our school and some other schools, whose parents are critical workers,

so I am keeping busy.

I have got some more activities for this week. Keep going with the work in your pack but here are some extras to keep you busy- there is even some football themed work - don't worry if you don't have a printer; you can do a lot of the work in your exercise book or on paper.

You can also listen to some free audio books using this link

https://stories.audible.com/start-listen

They even have Harry Potter on here.

Take care and look after each other and don't eat too many Eggs!!
