What is SEMH?

SEMH, which stands for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health describes

children and young people who struggle to manage their:

 

  • Emotions,
  • Mental well-being, and,
  • Social interactions.

 

SEMH needs are a type of Special Educational Need (SEN) primarily used in the education and health sectors in the UK.
